About

Shantou Mingda Textile Co., Ltd.

A professional manufacturer specialised in technical yarns and fabrics for human protection. We spin the yarn and weave the fabric ourselves, so a buyer deals with the mill rather than with a trader between two mills.

Who we are

A spinner and a weaver, in one plant

Shantou Mingda Textile has been making technical yarns since 2002, and protective fabrics alongside them. The plant is in the Xinlong Industrial Zone in Shantou, Guangdong, and spinning and weaving sit on the same site: the fibre arrives, becomes yarn, then becomes the woven or knitted roll that ships. Keeping those steps together is what lets a change in fibre, count or weave be made as one decision instead of three.

The range covers meta-aramid, para-aramid, Modacrylic and HPPE (UHMWPE) in yarn, woven and knitted fabric, and in the finished protection built from them. Buyers are garment manufacturers who need a construction to a specification, distributors who need consistent repeat supply, and safety teams who need to know which standard a material can support and which one belongs to the garment maker.

Registered office: Xinlong Industrial Zone, Heping Town, Chaoyang District, Shantou City, Guangdong Province, China

The two brands: Mingda is the mill — yarn and fabric sold on specification. HAILIDUN is the finished-protection line built from the same materials, currently cut-resistant gloves.

Certifications

What is certified, and what is not

Two certifications are held and current. Both are stated as the certificates state them, including their limits.

  • ISO 9001:2015 Quality management system Certified
  • OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 Textiles tested for harmful substances Certified — Product Class II

Test reports and certificate copies are available from our sales team on request.

The harmful-substances certificate covers yarn and woven or knitted fabric in the fibre list it names. Coated or laminated cloth, nonwoven and felt, and made-up articles such as gloves and sleeves fall outside that scope and are not presented as certified. Product performance standards — EN ISO 11612, NFPA 2112, ASTM F1506, EN 388 and the like — are assessed on the finished article under Regulation (EU) 2016/425, so the certification is issued to the garment or glove maker; we supply the material test data behind it.
